Are tamper evident locks on the outside of the container necessary?Although tamper evident locks may be used, they are not required to confirm a sterile barrier. Once sterile barrier has been achieved, the lid and base cannot be separated until the lock is intentionally breached. Per IFU, a Zuno Smart Container’s sterile barrier is confirmed via a two step process: 1-Finger Valve Touch and a Green Check Mark when the Status Button is pressed.

No, the Zuno Smart Container does not need to cool within the autoclave as there is no risk of condensation from outside elements due to the non-porous, vacuum-sealed barrier. The Zuno Smart Container may cool outside of an autoclave, freeing up the machine for additional loads.
